Production of renewable energies

This indicator shows the renewable energy production in per cent of the total energy production in the Nordic region. The most important types of both renewable and non-renewable energy production are in order of importance: natural gas, oil, renewable energies (all types) and nuclear power. The most important type of renewable energies produced in the Nordic region are energy from waste and biomass followed by hydro power. Geothermal energy plays a significant role in Iceland, but in the overall Nordic picture it only plays a smaller role. Data is available for Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, as well as the European Union (EU28) and the Euro Area (EA19). For more information on Nordic Statistics:
