Youth unemployment rate

This indicator shows the youth unemployment rate in the Nordic region. The youth unemployment rate is defined as the number of unemployed persons between the age of 15-24 years in per cent of the labour force aged 15-24. Unemployed persons are persons out of work who are available to start working within two weeks and are actively seeking a job. The labour force is the sum of employed and unemployed persons. Data is available as a total or for men and women respectively. Data covers Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland, as well as the European Union (EU28) and the Euro Area (EA19). Figures may not add up because of rounding. For more information on Nordic Statistics:
