Youth employment rate

This indicator shows the youth employment rate in the Nordic region. The youth employment rate is calculated as the number of employed 15-24 year-olds in per cent of the total number of people aged 15-24. In order to be classified as employed, a person must work, i.e. perform labour against some form of payment for at least one hour during the reference period. The youth employment rate is available as a total and for men and women separately. Data covers Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland, as well as the European Union (EU28) and the Euro area (EA19).
