Consumer price index (CPI)

This indicator shows the development in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) calculated with 2005 as base year (index 2005=100), in the Nordic region. The consumer price index measures the price changes of goods and services included in household consumption within national boundaries (including the consumption by foreign households). The prices included in the consumer price index are the prices consumers actually pay, i.e. incl. VAT and taxes and minus subsidies. The only exception is the cost of rent where the total rent, i.e. own payment plus any housing benefits, is included. Data is available for Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland. For more information on Nordic Statistics:
