Fisheries

The fishing industry is large in many of the Nordic countries. In the three largest Nordic fishing nations, Denmark, Iceland and Norway, codfish and herring for consumption dominate the catch. For the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland, fishery is the hub of the economy, but fishery also has a measurable impact on the national budget in Denmark and Norway.
